Since first performing stand up at the age of 18, Davey has gone on to perform at every major Irish comedy festival, In 2016, he performed his debut show Dysmorphin’ Time! at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, before a sold out run at the Dublin Fringe Festival. Davey has an extensive catalogue of work on YouTube, first as one the stars of Facts (voted “Ireland’s Best Youtube Channel 2016”), and later The Try Channel. He has appeared on RTE, BBC, MTV and in the pages of The Washington Post and Cosmopolitan.
One of Ireland's brightest comedians, Davey has performed at every major venue and festival in Ireland. He was shared the stage with David O'Doherty, Rory Scovel, Hannibal Burress, Kyle Kinane, amongst many other internationally renowned acts. He has written and toured three solo shows, selling out performances in seven countries, and twice being nominated for Dublin Fringe awards.
Davey is the resident MC of The Comedy Cellar, the longest running comedy club in Ireland. He has hosted corporate events for the likes of Facebook, Lidl, and the Britain's Got Talent. Off stage, he has hosted over 200 episodes of various podcasts, as well as a number of chat show pilots. In 2016, he hosted live coverage of the US Election to an audience of 250,000 people on Facts.
In addition to writing three successful solo shows, Davey formerly wrote articles for the Irish comedy website Humourisms. He has worked with various production companies writing treatments and pitches for Sony, Universal, RTÉ, Ann Summers, and Netflix. In 2015, he co-wrote the music video for "Someone New" by Hozier. He is currently writing his debut stageplay.
